    My Grandfather came to Victoria with the British Army. I know he helped build the gun emplacements here and at McCauley Pt. Guessing he would have worked on the lighthouse as well. Went on to the Klondike gold rush in 1898.

    • Hi Ken, thanks for sending some history back my way. Your Grandfather helped to create a part of history. The fort is very large and interesting, but it is the lighthouse that I am attracted to.
